The Jesse Tree has been such a neat way to share with my family the real meaning of why we celebrate Christmas. I love the stories and having an ornament for my children to hang on the tree. We can look at the ornaments during the season and remember each story about our Savior’s birth. Having the Jesse Tree as a part of our holidays reminds us to keep our perspective looking ‘up’. I had not heard of the Jesse Tree before a friend invited me to be a part of an ornament exchange last year. It was such a blessing for our family. I put each ornament in a small bag and let a child open a bag before our devotional. It was so much fun and meaningful at the same time. I loved sharing the story of Christ with my children in this way and look forward to getting the Jesse Tree box out soon.

The Jesse Tree added something that was missing from our home during the Christmas season. I wanted our children to grow up understanding the true meaning of the season and the Jesse Tree provided this for our family. Now ever Christmas season begins with setting up our Jesse Tree and getting out the lesson book and ornaments. Every day is a new story and ornament (visual) that bring biblical stories to life, leading up to His birth. So thankful for this new tradition.
