Every year at the end of October, our local library starts setting up their “Christmas Village” for the holidays. Last week, we took a stroll after our weekly library run and walked around. I cannot tell you how excited my kids were walking around this little village peeking into windows, and just talking about how much fun they have had in past years, and how they couldn’t wait for Christmas to come.
Kids love the anticipation of a celebration. They seem to have an internal clock that starts counting down to the big event whether or not they even understand the concept of time…they just know something BIG and EXCITING is coming–and they don’t want to miss it!
Now, whether or not you like Christmas music already playing on radios, or the neighbor who already has his Christmas lights up on his house, or the Christmas card that already came in the mail …Christmas is coming, and your kids can’t wait.
This waiting…this built up excitement…this wonder…this unexplainable joy…NOW is the best time to teach your children about Jesus and why He had to come. Join them in their excitement of Christmas, and share with them the story of the ONE who loves them and is the ONLY One who can rescue their hearts.
Every year our family has told the story through the Jesse Tree. It has been our favorite way to celebrate Christmas. It has helped us to focus on what matters most, and helped us as a family get in God’s Word together. Won’t you join us?!
There are 11 days until December 1st, and this is the perfect time to get you ready with the Jesse Tree!
Through Friday, we will be giving away 5 copies of our printed, spiral bound Jesse Tree Devotional!!
This book is so easy to use with a verse of the day, wonderful stories to teach your children about their loving Savior, and child-friendly activities and songs to help you share in the joy of Christmas. We also will throw in some free printable ornaments to go along with the book!
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to anticipate Jesus this year. Let this be the Christmas where your children hear the greatest love story of all, and give them the greatest gift of all–Jesus!
